Moeck's series of renaissance recorders are based on instruments in the Hofburg Museum,Vienna.The instruments are made from dark stained sycamore and have been treated with linseed oil. Care has been taken in the voicing of these instruments to ensure that they blend well in a consort. The provision of an adjustable brass ring for the tenon joints means that small corrections to the pitch can be easily be made. Tuned to A =440 , the recoders have conventional fingering although they are available to order with original renaissance fingering producing mean-tone temperament. The instruments have a range of one octave and a sixth.
